Going out of town for a few days or a few weeks? It’s time to bring your furry friend to play their days away at Bowhaus! We believe in going above and beyond to offer your dog the best boarding experience in the state! This includes providing a full day of doggie daycare with every night’s stay. Our climate-controlled and clean facilities are the perfect getaway for dogs of any size!

Our guests are our passion! From doggie daycare 7 days a week, to grooming and private trail walks from our professional staff, you can be confident that your pup is receiving all the affection, playtime, and socializing every dog deserves!

Boarding requirements

In an effort to provide the best experience for your pup possible, we require each potential guest to go through a Trial Day so we may see if they are a good fit with the other dogs in our care. The Trial Day is a full day assessment for Doggie Daycare, since all dogs who stay overnight at Bowhaus will spend the majority of their time playing during daycare.

* Please note: If it’s been longer than 6 months since your last visit, we may require another trial day for your pup to ensure they have the best stay possible.

All of our services require a reservation. We understand that cancellations happen, but request that you let us know at least 24 hours in advance. If you do not, you will be billed 25% of the estimated stay. During the holidays, we require a 14-day advance cancellation, as well as a minimum stay of 3 nights. A deposit for holiday stays will be taken and forfeited if you do not cancel during the allotted time.

We strongly discourage changing your dog’s dietary habits during their stay and require that you provide us with the food that your pet eats regularly in a labeled airtight container or Ziploc bag. We don’t charge extra for accommodating special diets and ask that you provide us with any allergies or preferences your dog has in the event that we need to supplement their food.

*Please note: If you only feed your dog once a day, we will split that meal into two portions to help reduce the risk of bloat.

We want all of our guests to have the ultimate at-home experience, and therefore encourage you to bring your dog’s own bedding. This allows them to sleep on something familiar and creates a comfortable environment for them to rest in. We do have bedding available, but it is very limited and strongly urge you to bring your own for your pup’s sake!

We are happy to administer any medications your dog may need, at intervals that are required, at no additional charge. We require (as is required by law) that their pharmaceutical (prescription) medications are given to us in their original un-expired prescription bottles, with accurate dosage information (as prescribed by your veterinarian) intact on the bottle, and some contents still in the container.

Miscellaneous Items

If you wish, we also encourage you to bring other items that you feel will enhance your dog’s stay. This includes an old piece of fabric such as a t-shirt that smells like you, a special harness or collar that your dog prefers. If you have any questions about what you can and cannot bring, please give us a call!

Sleep Times
for Our Canines

On average, most dogs sleep 13-18 hours a day, that’s why our furry guests sleep snugly in their kennels from 7:00 pm to 6:00 am. Dogs in our care tend to play the day away and are ready to get lots of rest at night. We’ve learned that almost all dogs, even small puppies, do not need a potty break within this time period, as they’ll have plenty of opportunity during the day! Only during severe cases where a dog has an upset stomach or incontinence issues will they require a late-night potty break, and we will do our best to accommodate their needs.
